About the Film

The Secret Closet is birthed out of NHizWill Productions (pronounced In His Will) founded by Nicolle M. Whalen in 2005. In April of 2007, Nicolle took a leap of faith and began to work full time as CEO and Producer of the company that fuels her life-long passion. A 29 year old visionary, Nicolle is determined to create original, mind challenging videos, films, books and sitcoms.

One of Nicolle’s greatest accomplishments to date was producing, shooting, directing and editing her first SHORT film, The Secret Closet. With all the responsibilities that comes with creating a film, she was still able to accomplish the task within 6 days. This fictional story was developed 2 years ago by Nicolle and long time friend, Ginger M. Harris. The Secret Closet, formally known as How Long Did It Last, is known to the spotlight. In 2006 the film was a top finalist in the Urban Media Makers Film Festival in the Best Short Screenplay Category. We expect many more accolades to follow very soon.

Following the Urban Media Makers Film Festival, Nicolle began re-writing the screenplay. She changed the name from “How Long did it Last” to “The Secret Closet” and breathed life into the film by making it a feature length script. After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback about the film, NHizWill Productions started pre-production of the feature length version of the film. The Secret Closet has the power to change the mindset of generations past and present. Undeniably, the film provokes deep thought and jerks many tears while simultaneously encouraging viewers a desire to take action.
